I’m Maksim Novikov, a product and UX/UI designer working across digital products, websites, and visual design. My background started in visual design, but over time my work has grown into a broader mix of product design, interaction, technology, and frontend development.
I’ve worked with startups, agencies, and businesses across finance, private banking, logistics, construction, ecommerce, SaaS, and marketing. The projects have been just as varied — from corporate and B2C websites to mobile apps, ecommerce platforms, SaaS products, and complex data-driven dashboards.
Working across different industries has given me the opportunity to solve very different kinds of problems. Sometimes the challenge is making a complex product easier to understand. Sometimes it’s building trust through a website or creating a visual system that can support a growing business. I enjoy that variety because it keeps the work from becoming formulaic.
Alongside design, I build interfaces with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I don’t see development as something that starts after the design is finished — understanding how a product is built helps me make better decisions while designing it.
I’m also interested in the areas around product design: branding, typography, motion, 3D, and emerging technology. They all influence how I think about digital experiences and give me different ways to approach a problem.
I try to stay curious and keep up with how the industry is changing — new technologies, tools, and ways of working. Not to follow every trend, but to understand what is genuinely useful and where it can make the work better.
